Function of Major Parts in mold

Let’s learn about the names and functions of the major parts used for a two-plate mold.

Ejector:

You will learn about the names and functions of the major parts used for an ejection system.
A push back pin and a coil spring are used for regular molds, whereas a return pin and a gas spring are sometimes used for large size molds.
This figure illustrates an example of a large mold.

Moldbase:

You will learn about the names and functions of the major parts used for a mold base.

Slide core:

You will learn about the names and functions of the major parts used for a slide core:

Loose core:

You will learn about the names and functions of the major parts used for a loose core.
As shown in the figure below, some ejectors have a slide rod angled in 2 dimensions, and others have a slide rod angled in 3 dimensions.

Slide Rod Angled in 2 Dimensions

As it is easy to precisely create a hole for a slide rod in a mold if a slide rod is angled in 2 dimensions, a gutter to attach bushes is made on the mold itself.

Slide Rod Angled in 3 Dimensions

As it is difficult to precisely create a hole for a slide rod in a mold if a slide rod is angled in 3 dimensions, a bush holder is made separately.
